A Hundred Happy Faces II- Double UP!

I am organizing again for the 6th time a Christmas part for the streetkids in Philcoa this year. I have been doing this since I was a college student. It started with just 20, then 60 and a hundred last year, truly living out God's promise in Matthew 13. And I have been so thankful for that seeing how God works and touches people to help out in this project close to my heart.

I am still seeing the kids every now and then, sometimes to have their teeth checked and or just spend some time with them. I am happy to tell you that last March, Ella and Christine graduated from elementary and they have invited me to attend their graduation. Ella got a medal and if I may remember correctly the valedictorian in the class and Christine too graduated with an excellent mark. I am really proud of them. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the graduation because I had a flight that time. But this is still a small victory and these kids have a long way to go. These kids are growing up and they need us much guidance to thrive in this world.

But problems also surfaced this year. One child Remy, the on I got as a model for a print ad for Procter and Gamble ran away. And her mother was distraught and I can't do anything about it. Thankfully, she was found again after a week or so in a DSWD haven.

A lot too has happened in my life. I became active in environmental projects and now is planning to take up Masters in Environmental Management in Ateneo this coming semester. I felt the same passion when I planted mangroves in Calatagan the same passion that I feel towards the kids. And I realized that these two can go hand in hand. The poor will be the first to be affected with the environmental problems going on because they don't have the resources to relocate or rebuild their homes (just what happened after the flood).

However, the kids will always be with me and I invite you once again to take part in this endeavor, to make the kids happy once again this Christmas.

You can contact me in email (lynnegl@yahoo.com) or in my mobile number 09215393021 for more details.
I may get to reply late sometimes though if I'm out of the country but I do will get in touch with you as soon as I can.

Thank you very much and Have a Happy Christmas!!! ;)
